Abstract
1460374 Offshore structures EUROPEETUDES 24 May 1974 [29 May 1973] 23463/74 Heading E1H An offshore structure of the kind having at least three concrete legs 11 whose bases rest on the sea bed through feet 17, and which legs are connected together by horizontal and inclined braces 19, 20, 22 is characterised in that each foot 17 is of solid construction and is not interconnected with the other feet. The legs are hollow and cylindrical and made from either prestressed or reinforced concrete and the braces are made of either prestressed concrete or reinforced concrete or steel. The bases of the hollow legs may be filled with ballast 12, their median portions 16 can be used as storage tanks and their upper portions 13 may be perforated to reduce the effects of swell.
