The member 5 may itself form the line insulator suspending the conductor from the supporting structure, (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) and may be composed of two stick insulators 28, 29, Fig. 11, converging to a point "a" on the conductor 27; a third stick insulator 30 may be added. In a further embodiment shown in Fig. 12, 32 is a string of suspension insulators 33 and two stick insulators 34, 35 may be connected to various positions on the tower 24 or to a position on the cross-arm 23, (Fig. 10, not shown). In Fig. 13 the crossarm is replaced by the solid resilient member, in this case comprising three stick insulators 34, 35, 36, which couples the conductor 37 to the tower 24.
