Abstract

1457266 Variable speed friction gear RUTI. TE STRAKE BV 20 Dec 1973 [22 Dec 1972] 59070/73 Heading F2D [Also in Division D1] A yarn pulling device comprises a wide yarn receiving drum 3, and a narrow drive receiving ring 3a adjacent one edge of the drum 3 in engagement with a driving roller 1 having a progressively varying diameter. The drum is relatively adjustable with respect to the driving roller 1 so as to vary the drive ratio. The drum 3 can be axially adjustable in a housing which is spring-loaded towards the driving rollers. The axis of the drum 3 and driving roller 1 may be transverse to each other.
