Abstract

145,716. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. April 2, 1918, [Convention date]. Field carriages.-Consists in providing a railway gun-carriage with a rear bogie D that can be secured to the frame B in a transport position I and a firing position II, the latter position providing more room for the gun to recoil when fired at elevation. In the transport position shown, the load is equally distributed on the bogie axles as the bogie C, which is nearer the centre of gravity S, is provided with one more wheel axle than the bogie D. Fig. 3 shows the frame B resting by means of a ball pin J in a bearing d<1> carried by the bogie D. The ball-pin is slidable in guides g<1> on the frame, and is secured in the positions I and II by a bolt H.
