Abstract

1456578 Electric battery lamps UNION CARBIDE CORP 21 March 1974 [22 March 1973] 12516/74 Heading F4R A push-button switching module adapted to be coupled between the battery casing of a torch and a lens and reflector unit comprises a module casing, a push-button switch secured wholly within the module casing with the button aligned with an opening in the wall of the module casing, and electrical contact means adapted, through actuation of the switch, to complete or interrupt an electrical circuit between the battery casing and the lens and reflector unit. A flexible rubber boot is secured over the opening in the module casing and may be pressed to actuate the switch. The ends of the module casing are open and are screw threaded for engagement with cooperating threads on the battery casing and unit, sealing gaskets being employed to ensure waterproof connections. The battery casing and unit may be coaxial or may be set at 90 degrees to one another, the module casing then being of the appropriate angular shape.
