Abstract

1455598 Boats adapted to run on land UNITEX Ltd 13 May 1975 [13 May 1974] 21157/74 Heading B7A A boat with a wheel carrying leg assembly 20 detachably secured one on each side of the hull has at each side a bracket 10 fixed to its gunwale and an upwardly extending socket 3 near its bilge or chine. Each leg assembly is firstly attached at its upper end by a hook fitting 22 engageable with pin 11 on the bracket and secondly by an arm 30 of the leg engaging in the socket 3. The arrangement is characterized in that in order to detach each leg assembly from the boat, it is necessary as one step, to move the leg assembly from the upwardly extending socket and, as a following step, to rotate the leg assembly outwardly of the boat through an angle of between 90 and 180 degrees before the hook fitting can be disengaged from the pin on the bracket fixed to the gunwale.
