Abstract

1454067 Endless track vehicle suspensions DR ING hcF PORSCHE AG 6 Jan 1975 [12 Feb 1974] 365/75 Addition to 1282377 Heading B7D In a track roller suspension for an endless track vehicle comprising in accordance with the main patent an arm 3 which is sprung by a torsion bar spring 5 and subjected to the damping action of friction plates 20 progressively loaded by disc springs 6 acting through a counter-thrust plate 14 and an actuating plate 10 having co-operating inclined surfaces 13 and wedge faces 12, the spring 6 can be compressed against the counter-thrust plate 14 to lock the suspension by an annular fluid-pressure piston 29. The piston 29 is located in an annular chamber to which pressure fluid is admitted through an inlet 26, and acts on the spring 6 through thust pins 30 and a thrust plate 31. A mechanical thrust-generating system may be used instead of a fluid-pressure piston, and the disc springs may be replaced by coil springs or a hydropneumatic spring.
