Sugar massecuite is delivered through pipe 39, into chamber 36 and passage 37 to the screen drum and sugar crystals are removed from the screen by scraper 11, and discharged by the screw through opening 38. Pulley 27 rotates rotor 4 which includes counter weight 12 and 13, and pulley 26 turns screw 23 and drum 16 via gears 22 and 25.
