Abstract

1334024 Centrifugal driers FRAUSSMAFFEI AG 15 June 1971 [25 June 1970] 27979/71 Heading F4G [Also in Division B1] In a centrifugal drier comprising a rotary drum 6 in the form of an array of axially spaced rings 7 wherein mixture to be separated is thrown from one ring to the next as it passes towards the wide end of the drum, an acceleration device 1 is provided into which the mixture is first delivered, device 1 rotating faster than drum 6. As shown device 1 is an open bowl whose discharge edge 3 may be serrated at 4. Device 1 could incorporate a preliminary filtering screen for deliquifying.
