Abstract

1453165 Stacked packages E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 23 Aug 1974 [24 Aug 1973] 37138/74 Heading B8C [Also in Divisions E2 and F2] Packages horizontally supported between vertically positioned flat end panels are interlocked in a tiered assembly by clips, each having a planar central section 20 with parallel side edges 21, 22, at least one lip 23, 24 and one flap 25, 26, respectively projecting in opposite directions from each edge to embrace the vertical surfaces of adjacent end panels, and sharp projections 27-30 extending from the central section 20 to engage the ends of the adjacent end panels. The clip may be formed from a sheet metal blank. Each package may comprise a roll of plastics film with a strap (16), Fig. 1 (not shown), binding the end panels and roll together. Further straps (17) may pass through cores of diagonally adjacent rolls to stabilize the assembly.
