Abstract

754,184. Spiked strips. NO-NAIL BOXES, Ltd. Sept. 24, 1954, No. 27698/54. Class 89 (2). [Also in Group XXII] Metal binding angular and flat strip members 5, 6, Fig. 2, for attachment to box blanks 1, 4, 11, &c. by means of clenched-over teeth 12, 13 in making foldable boxes of plywood, fibreboard, &c., as described in Specification 746,163, are made from flat strip metal. Central flat members 6, Fig. 3, with angular members 5 on each side are formed with pairs of mitres 24 on each side at the required bending points on the' angular members and with staggered attachment teeth 34, 35 to be bent at right angles. The strips which are parted off by a punch which forms tongues 19 at one end and slots 20 at the other for subsequent closure of the box lid 4. Stiffening ribs 23 may be formed near the edges.
