Abstract
1452171 Vapour deposition of Selenium LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS GmbH 1 Feb 1974 [19 Feb 1973] 04843/74 Heading C7F An electro-photographic recording material is produced by vapour deposition of Se, Se alloys or compounds on to a substrate, for example a tin dioxide coated glass, in two stages to ensure good adhesion between the substrate and the photoconductor. The first stage deposits a thin film, about 1Ám, at a relatively high temperature i.e. above the glass transformation temperature of the photo-conductor, followed by the second stage which deposits a thicker layer about 10Ám at a lower temperature. When using a photo-conductor of the AS 2 Se 3 composition, the temperatures are 200‹ and 60‹C respectively.
