Abstract

1450589 Colour television tubes RCA CORPORATION 2 Oct 1973 [18 Oct 1972] 45923/73 Heading H1D In an optical lens for use in the manufacture of the phosphor screen of a colour television tube, and having discontinuities either of surface gradient, or in the form of interfaces between different sections of which the lens is made up, which sections may be of the same or of different refractive index, the surfaces of discontinuity extend from a common point to the edge of the lens, e.g. radially from the centre, such that for a light source located on an axis passing through the common point, scattering and reflection at the surfaces of discontinuity is minimised.
