Abstract
791,312. Optical objectives. NAKKEN, T. H. March 19, 1954 [March 26, 1953], No. 30848/56. Divided out of 791,311. Class 97(1) A universal focus lens for use in a photographic objective is formed from a lens blank composed of a series of wedge shaped sectors, Fig. 1, placed with their apices adjacent and welded together at the contacting sides, adjacent sectors having different refractive indices and the surfaces of the blank being ground according to the optical Specifications of the lens. The wedge-shaped sectors may be in the form of wedge-shaped rods welded together the blank being cut from the rod. As shown three different glasses I, II and III are used. Specification 608,892 is referred to.
