Class 97(1) The objective consists of a positive meniscus simple lens, a bi-concave simple lens and a rear doublet having its cemented surface convex towards the middle lens wherein 1. À22f<L<À32F 2. À28F<R1<À36F 3. 1À7F<R2<3À4F 4. À3F<R6<À4F 5. -À7<R7<-À45f 6. The sum of the refractive powers of the first and last surfaces lies between 3À2/f and 3À8/f 7. The sum of the refractive powers of the two surfaces of the middle lens lies between - 3À1/f and - 2À7/f 8. The sum of the refractive powers of the two surfaces of the two outer lenses which are adjacent the middle lens lies between - 0À45/f and - 0À25/f 9. The thickness of the middle lens lies between À025f and À070f 10. -4À5L<R3<-3L 11. The refractive index difference at the cemented surface is between À14 and À22 12. À80f<R6+r7<f 13. L<R6<1À6L 14. The refractive power of the cemented surface lies between 0À35/f and À6/f Where f is the equivalent focal length and L is the overall length of the objective. Optical data are given for two examples of the objective illustrated.
