Abstract

1449780 Valves SOCIETA ITALIANA TECNOMECCANICA "LA PRECISA" DI DR P EG DE STEFANI SAS 27 Jan 1975 [29 Jan 1974] 3414/75 Heading F2V An obturator 4 is connected to the armature 3 of a solenoid 1 by a mechanism which causes the obturator at first to lift more slowly than the armature and then to move more quickly than the armature. The armature first pivots a lever 211 about a fulcrum 213 and then a pair of levers 211, 311 in contact with each other about a second fulcrum 214, the levers being pivotally connected at 311a. In another embodiment a single lever (111, Fig. 4) pivots about a fulcrum (113) until its displaced end strikes a second fulcrum (114) about which further movement takes place. In a third embodiment, the armature and obturator are at opposite ends of the lever (11, Fig. 1) and a pair of fulcra (13, 14) are arranged for successive engagement by the lever as the obturator is lifted.
