Abstract

A valve has a valve spindle (4) carrying on its end, inside the valve casing (2) a closure member (1) and surrounded on its end outside the casing by a valve spring (9) acting on the valve spindle (4). A rocking lever (17) is provided for adjusting the closure member (1) and a bearing member for the rocking lever (17) is held on the valve casing (2). The bearing member comprises a U- shaped member (11) which is arched over the valve spindle (4) and valve spring (9) and is held by its two ends on the valve casing (2). The rocking lever (17) has a fork-like end on the casing side and its two fork arms (18) project laterally between the valve spring (9) and the sides (12) of the U- shaped member (11). A bearing bolt (24) for the fork arms (18) is held in an offset manner with respect to the valve spindle (4) in the said sides (12) of the U-shaped member (11). The fork arms (18) co-operate with a drive member (10) attached to the outer end of the spindle (4), the spring (9) being positioned between the drive member (10) and the valve casing (2).
