Abstract

1448359 Cryogenic tanks LINDE AG 18 March 1975 [25 March 1974] 11150/75 Heading F4P A cryogenic vessel comprises inner and outer vessels 2, 1 with thermal insulation 4 therebetween, the inner vessel being formed of concrete reinforced by a material which is tough in the cold state and being provided with a gas and liquid-tight lining 6, 7. The concrete is preferably reinforced with steel and the lining comprises an elastic foil 7 adhered to a coat of paint 6. The foil may be metallic or of a synthetic resin material such as a polyterephthalic acid ester. The paint may be an epoxy-based resin. 8 is load-bearing insulation, the insulation 4 is preferably perlite and outer vessel 1 is made of concrete or steel. The roof of inner vessel 2 may be of steel-reinforced concrete or of steel alone.
