Abstract

144,821. Moore, G. W. March 24, 1919. Hair-clippers.-The comb plate 6, Fig. 1, has an arm 12 formed integrally with it and extending upwardly and rearwardly to form a hollow handle in which is mounted the operating-shaft 19, Fig. 2. The cutter plate 7 is operated by means of a rocking-arm 8 connected by a link 9 to a lever 10 pivoted at 14 and slotted at 15 to engage a pin 16 on the worm-wheel 17 which is driven by a worm 18 from the operating shaft 19. The central portion 14 of the lever 10 is cylindrical in form and made to fit closely the opening receiving it. The shaft 19 carries a slotted socket 21 projecting into an opening 22 to receive the flexible driving-shaft which is held in position by a locking pin 23 engaging a groove therein.
