Abstract

1446720 Extraction from mould ANSTALT TEXTOLIER 7 Nov 1973 [30 May 1973] 51642/73 Heading B5A Injection moulded shoe soles, e.g. of foam plastics are removed from a mould comprising a female die 1, a male die 3, and an extractor plate 2, by separating the female die 1 and then the male die 3 from the extractor plate 2 which engages the periphery of the articles and removes them from the dies. As shown the extractor plate 2 is mounted on rods 6 and urged against the male die 3 by springs 7. When the press head 9 is raised the male die and the extractor plate rise together until the rods 6 strike a fixed abutment plate and the extractor plate 2 is stopped. Alternatively (Fig. 6, not shown) the mould is inverted, the female die 1 being attached to and raised by the press head 9, the extractor plate 2 being fixed, and the male die 3 being lowered by a piston 12 displaced by an hydraulically operated toggle.
