Abstract

The press has a support frame made from modular structural members which can be dismantled and re-assembled to suit different tool sizes or various ram locations. Esp. used for moulding plastics or rubbers into shapes involving multiple axis consolidation rams or disengagement/ejection motions, with tool sizes of e.g. 80 x 120 to 500 x 2000 mm. More versatile than presses with massive (cast), multidimensional frames.
