Mains and pipes.-In a vacuum cleaning system applied to an aggregation of houses &c., wherein piping is permanently laid in or on each house having one or more inlets in a room or rooms of the house and one or more external outlets, service mains are laid in the streets, connected to the outlets and conveying the dust to a common exhauster or exhausters; disused gas mains may be employed for this purpnse.
