Abstract

1443731 Open-end spinner: rotor shaft support MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 25 July 1973 [17 Aug 1972] 35410/73 Heading DID In an open-end spinning machine, the rolling bearings of a pulley-driven shaft mounting a cup-shaped rotor are scoured in a rigid metal sleeve, and the sleeve is secured in a housing bore by an elastic ring at the sleeve and nearest the rotor and 'by an elastic support at the opposite sleeve end. Shaft 9 mounting rotor 6 and pulley 9, is mounted in 'ball bearing 10 and roller bearing 13. The bearings are mounted in sleeve 14 secured in bore 16 by rubber sealing ring 16 and by spaced rubber pads 21. Air flows between the pads and through sleeve holes 20 to equalise the air pressure on either side of bearing 10. Seal 18 reduces the air flow into space 19. Oil is drip fed from wick 25 via tube 26 into sleeve 14. The oil may be pumped. For Figure see next column
