Abstract

1440189 Ventilators AVDON Ltd 24 Sept 1973 [20 Nov 1972] 53613/72 Heading F4V A frame unit 10 for use with sliding doors or windows 24, comprises an extruded aluminium member shaped to have three longitudinal walls 14, 16, 18 defining two adjacent channels 20, 22. Each channel is able to receive the edge portion 28 of a door or window. The inner wall 14 and the central wall 16 both have apertures 32, 34 staggered with respect to one another. The frame unit also includes a cover panel 36 having corresponding apertures 38 to the apertures 32, such that a room occupant may slide the panel 36 and alter the ventilation into the room. The outside wall 18 of the unit 10 protects the air flow openings 34 from the wind and rain.
