Abstract

1439557 Dry cleaning STEAMATIC Inc 30 Aug 1974 [31 Aug 1973] 38105/74 Addition to 1389458 Heading D1A The method of the parent Specification 1389458 is improved by use of a solvent comprising a mixture of a known chlorinated hydrocarbon, e.g. trichloroethylene with an aliphatic hydrocarbon e.g. hexane, heptane octane, nonane, and/or a non-aqueous detergent capable of dissovling water-soluble soils and stains e.g. an oil-soluble petroleum sulphonate and sulpho succinate blend with an average molecular weight of 450 units. The detergent may comprise a polyethoxylated phenolic non-ionic emulsifier and an ethanolamine. The apparatus is the same as that described in the parent Specification.
