Abstract

143,890. Borel, J. L. A. May 27, 1919, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-The fuel level in the float chamber is automatically varied in accordance with engine speed by reducing the virtual weight of the float by transmitting engine suction to an extension thereof. The float a actuates the fuel valve g through a lever f and is provided with a piston b which projects into a bell c which communicates with the suction passage d below the throttle valve e. The effect of suction is to raise the float and lower the level at which the fuel to the float chamber is cut off.
