Abstract

1438351 Power hair comb SUNBEAM CORP 23 August 1973 40061/73 Headings A4K and A4V [Also in Division F2] A power driven hair comb has comb members (22, 23) Fig. 1 (not shown) releasably supported in a housing (15) in parallel juxtaposition not more than 0.25 inches apart and arranged for out of phase reciprocation at more than 4000 cycles per minute and preferably at between 6000 and 9000 strokes per minute of from 0.03 to 0.103 inch, i.e. equal to or less than the comb tooth pitch. Power may be taken from a rubber mounted motor 24 via drive block 39, crank-pin and slot 41, 42b in yoke 42 and member 36 pivoted to oscillate about an axle 37 to reciprocate the rods 32, 33 connecting member 36 to links 35, the combs being attached to these links by sockets 47 and in the same manner to a pair of idling links, at their ends remote from the motor.
