1438221 Incinerator OPYTNO-KOSTRUKT BJURO ENERGOTEKNOLOGICHES KIKH PROZESSOV KHIMICHE PROMYSHLENNOSTI MOSKOV ENERGETICHE INST and SCHEKIN KHIMICHE KOMBINAT 30 May 1974 24007/74 Heading F4B An incinerator for liquid industrial waste comprises an upright cylindrical furnace with an outlet 4 in the bottom connected to an exhaust gas duct and a tapping point 6 for molten incombustible residues, burners 2 being arranged to deliver tangentially into the top part of the furnace and atomizers 7 for the waste below the burners and associated with nozzles 8 for the supply of secondary air. The atomizers 7 are arranged with the air supply nozzles, the place and direction of the delivering from the atomizers depending on the waste to be burnt. Waste of high calorific value and no recoverable mineral constituents is directed in counter current to the air flow in the nozzles, Fig. 3, while waste of low calorific value with recoverable fusible mineral constituents is directed to flow in the same direction as the air flow and delivers in the plane of the nozzle mouth, Fig. 5. The atomizers may deliver radially at the nozzle mouth.
