1437402 Offshore structures SEA TANK CO 14 Sept 1973 [22 Sept 1972] 43378/73 Heading E1H An offshore structure comprises a plurality of subaqueous tanks as described in Specification 1354258 acting as foundation elements for a superstructure which is connected to each tank through the upwardly projecting portion thereof. The latter may be in the form of a column which extends upwardly from the cover of the tank and downwardly to the base of the tank, and through which drilling may be effected, the bottom of the column being stopped to enable the column to act as a flotation element during submerging of the structure, drilling subsequently taking place through the stopping.
