Abstract

1436498 Tables combined with ironing boards P G GRANT 31 July 1974 [7 Aug 1973] 33899/74 Heading A4H A combination kitchen table-ironing board comprises two U-shaped supports 25, a table top leaf 18 fixed to arms 27 of the supports, an ironing board 11 having spigots (33) vertically slidable in arms 26 of the supports so that it is movable between a first position below the level of leaf 18 and a second, elevated position, and a leaf 17 hinged at 19 to leaf 18 and supported by the board 11 when in its first position and pivotable on its hinge 19 so that it can rest on leaf 18 to allow board 11 to be moved to its second position. Board 11 may have spring-biased projections 47 that engage in holes 48 in leaf 17. Spring-biased abutment rods (38) housed in a rod 30 connecting arms 26 and releasable by lugs 43 engage in a hole (29) in each arm 26 and a selected aperture (34) in spigot (33).
