Abstract

1,087,973. Combination furniture. P. J. M. O. SANCHEZ. Nov. 5, 1964, No. 45185/64. Heading A4H. A folding table is detachably connected to a bookcase 20 or a cabinet 36 and may be extended for use in both the connected and detached conditions. The table comprises a fixed frame 8, 9, 13 hingedly carrying a top 19 supported in the raised position by a further frame 14, 15 connected by hinged rails 10, 101 to the fixed frame. In one embodiment, Fig. 5, the table is releasably attached to a frame 22 hinged at one side to the bookcase 20 and provided with a castor 21. In another embodiment, Fig. 10, folding tables 37a, 37b are detachably connected to opposite sides of the cabinet 36. A supplementary folding top 33, 34 mounted on the cabinet 36 provides an extension leaf (Fig. 8) for fitment between the two tables when detached from the cabinet 36.
