Reservoir pens.-In a fountain pen of the safety type, the nib is returned into the barrel or ejected into working position by means of a pin carried by the cap. The nib e, Fig. 3, is fixed by a ring i to a rod d which extends through the barrel a into a hole k in a screwed end-piece c. The cap b has an attached top f provided with a pin g which registers with a slot h, Fig. 9, in the rod d to push the nib into the barrel, or with the end of the rod in the hole k in the endpiece c to eject the nib. To prevent the escape of ink through the channel k, a washer l of cork, rubber. or the like is inserted in the end of the piece c and held in position by a screw ring m.
