Abstract

1434095 Soap dispensers PWA PAPIERWERKE WALDHOF-ASCMAFFENBURG AG 9 May 1973 [10 May 1972] 22106/73 Heading A4V [Also in Divisions B8 and F1] The externally screw-threaded neck of a refill bottle 23 contains an axially and inwardly displaceable plug 32, which is moved to its inward open position by a spike 28 of a cream soap dispenser on reception of the bottle neck in a rotatable, axially-fixed ring 25 of the dispenser. The ring is rotatable by a handle 27 or surface knurling and brings the end-face of the neck into sealing engagement with a sealing flange 29 coaxial with the spike and defining a flow passage 30. The released soap may then be dispensed by a pump 35. The plug has a peripheral sealing flange or surface, which is displaced from sealing engagement with the bottle neck bore on inward movement of the plug, and radial, axially-extending ribs 33, which hold the plug in the bottle neck in its inwardly-displaced position and define outflow passages therebetween. Further plug constructions are described, Figs. 1-4 (not shown). The spike may be of tubular form or of star-shaped crosssection.
