Abstract

143,397. Jones, H. M. Macnaughton-. May 29, 1919. Supporting.-In an adjustable support for carrying electric lamps, a standard 1 carries a tubular head 2, to which are attached tubular members 3, 4. To one end of the latter is attached a mem. ber 5 parallel to the member 3 and pivoted to a tube 6 which supports the lamp 7. The member 3 is fitted into a boss 13 which is retained in the head 2 by a trunnion tube 10 flanged at 12 and held to the head by a nut 19. The tubular member 4 is fixed in a boss 15 which is mounted on an extension 14 of the boss 13, and the flexible conductor 16 passes up the standard tube 1 through a hole 17 in the trunnion tube and extends up the tube 3, so that the members 3, 5 may be moved relatively to the standard without injury to the flexible conductor.
