Abstract

317,583. Grant, J., and Grant, W. H. July 2, 1928. Reachers.-A device for removing and replacing electric lamps comprises cushion screws C carried by a felt lined split ring B of springy material mounted on arms A<1> of a tube A of similar material. An adjustable cushion buffer L is provided and this may also be used as in Fig. 3 to remove broken lamps. A cord E attached to each end of the ring B and passing freely through bushes F in the opposite ends may be used to increase the grip. A fork-member mounted at right angles on the end of a rod may be used to withstand the upward pressure on freely suspended lamp-holders.
