Abstract

441,426. Laying and supporting cables. GIACHETTI, A., 30, Via Genova, Rome. Nov. 13, 1934, No. 32665. [Class 36] To facilitate the drawing of a cable 2 into a duct 1, the cable is provided along its length with spaced clips 3 carrying rollers 9 which serve to hold the cable from the wall of the duct during and after the drawing-in operation. In the form shown the rollers 9 are mounted in resilient yokes 5 attached to the clip 3 which is in the form of a band clip. In a modified construction the clip consists of a rigid two-piece yoke which is clamped around the cable and to which the pivots of the rollers are rigidly secured. The duct may have a smooth and hard silicate surface 1<a>.
