Abstract

<PICT:0381307/III/1> A coating of tar &c. is applied to the inner surface of a pipe 6 by means of apparatus comprising a soft rubber ball 3 fixed on the outer end of a rod 1 and a washer 4 freely mounted thereon. The ball and washer are slightly larger in diameter than the pipe and form a space to receive the tar, and the apparatus is drawn through the pipe by a cord 2 attached to the inner end of the said rod.
