Abstract

379,464. Spray-producers. WING- FIELD, B. T., Brooklyn, The Green, West Drayton, Middlesex. July 14, 1931, No. 20250. [Class 69 (iii).] Water is sprayed into a desuperheater through a nozzle 4 having a cone 20 which is moved in and out of the nozzle by a rod 18 connected to a lever 24 pivoted to a frame 26 on the desuperheater casing. The lever may be moved by a hand-wheel 46. A helically grooved sleeve 22 is secured to the rod 18 above the cone 20. The cone has preferably a parabolic contour.
