Abstract

1433317 Burners JOH VAILLANT KG 30 Aug 1974 [4 Sept 1973] 38033/74 Heading F4T A control arrangement for a gas supply valve 22 of a burner 5 of a water heater 6 has an amplifier 13 controlling the actuating solenoid 20 of the gas valve and fed by two input lines 12, 27 connected respectively to one branch of a bridge and formed by a resistor 14 and a NTC resistor 8 responsive to the temperature in the heat exchanger outlet 4 and to the other branch of the bridge and formed either by a resistor 38, 39 and a capacitor 41 or by a resistor 42, 43, 44 according to the position of contact 30 which is moved by an electromagnet 31 that is controlled through a contact 34 moving with the gas valve. A further bridge branch is formed by the resistors 23, 24 and is switched in and out of connection with amplifier input line 27 by a contact 28 moved according to the temperature at the heat sensor 7. A contact 46 in the circuit supplying a pump 2 is moved together with contact 30. In a modification resistors 8 and 14 are replaced by a fixed resistor (71) and a PTC resistor (70). In a further modification the resistor 8 is in parallel with a resistor (63) which can be switched in to replace the resistor 8.
