Abstract

1432275 Safety closure VAN BLARCOM CLOSURES Inc 30 April 1974 18929/74 Heading B8T A safety closure suitable for medicine bottles with threaded necks comprises a threaded cap 1 upon which is mounted rotatably a drive member 5, the drive member being retained in position over the closed end of the cap by a flange 6 which engages an annular groove 4 in the cap. Teeth 2 on the closed end of the cap engage teeth (not shown) on the inner side wall of the drive member 5 when the latter is squeezed inwardly, thereby fixing the cap rotatably in relation to the drive member which may then be rotated to unscrew the cap.
