Abstract
1431676 Coating containing abrasion resistant particles REX CHAINBELT INC 27 March 1973 [27 March 1972] 14644/73 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] A single layer coating having high resistance to abrasion comprises a mixture containing abrasion resistant ceramic particles of substantially <SP>1</SP>/ 16 of an inch in their largest dimension, e.g. a metal coated alumina, and smaller co-abrasive filler particles of substantially 180 mesh (U.S. Standard), e.g. silicon carbide and a curable polymer, e.g. an. epoxy resin. The composition has a consistency conductive to application by travelling. The coating may be applied to chutes, buckets, hoppers and pipe lines containing abrasive particles, e.g. metal bearing ores.
