Abstract
1430116 Electric connector JEUMONTSCHNEIDER 22 June 1973 [27 June 1972] 29872/73 Heading H2E To join or tap cables a metal C section sleeve 1 and interlocking metal rib 4 of equal length, shaped to fit the two conductors 5, 6 (shown as identical) can be fitted round the cables without cutting by applying sleeve 1 before inserting the rib 4 from one end with dovetail 2 and grooves 3 already engaged. After fitting, sleeve 1 is deformed inwards by punching one or more areas along the top and bottom curved sections of the C in order to make the joint permanent; the interlocking or rib 4 prevents the collapse of sleeve 1.
