Abstract

An earthing connector for electrical installation has a pointed rod (2) forming the lowermost of a set interconnected cons, a copper cable (4) and means for connecting the cable to the pointed rod. To provide the interconnection between the upper rods, each rod has a hole at one end and a spigot at the other. The means (5) for connecting the cable consists of a short tube welded to the pointed rod (2). The cable (4) is inserted in the tube (5) and the tube is crimped (9) to connect the cable to the rod. The connector provides a deep earthing point which has good electrical conductivity and is also cheaper to make than conventional earthing connectors.
