Abstract

1429675 Skylights; pivoting windows PEEJ BOGAERT 13 March 1973 [20 March 1972] 11929/73 Headings E1J and E1R A frame is made of moulded or extruded material which is cuttable and has a groove 2 for receiving a glazing sheet (6) of a skylight, a further groove 4 for receiving condensation water, and orifices 5 for discharging the water. The frame is cut on line II-II or III-III to facilitate mounting of the glazing sheet, a batten (11, Fig. 2, not shown) which may be formed by the offcut, securing the sheet. Alternatively, cutting on line IV-IV and attachment of hinges provides an openable skylight (Figs. 4a, 4b, not shown). Alternatively, glazing is attached to an uncut frame (Figs. 6, 11 not shown). The frame may be of polyurethane foam. Water pervious plugs (14) prevent draughts.
