Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-A road-vehicle signalling-device for warning following vehicles of an intended stoppage or change of direction comprises a centrally pivoted disk or plate bearing written characters, and which, during rotation from edge view to face view, operates a bell, gong, &c. The plate a is carried by a central stem g pivoted in a bracket b, c at the side of the vehicle and provided with an arm d by means of which the device is operated through a connecting-rod e from the driver's seat. During rotation, a moving part a<1> strikes a bell, gong, &c. f, and serves at night, if desired, to switch on a light to illuminate the plate.
