Abstract

1428882 Change-speed gear DAIMLERBENZ AG 25 April 1974 [11 May 1973] 18183/74 Heading F2D A partition 10 separating a hydrodynamic unit 13 from a power-operated change-speed gearing unit 14 is divided substantially on its median plane 17 into parts 15, 16 secured together in a fluid-tight manner, e.g. by adhesive and/or bolts, screws &c., a pump 22 driven by the hydrodynamic unit is accommodated in both parts 15, 16, and all fluid passageways 18 in the partition extend parallel to the plane in one at least of the joint faces between the parts. Openings 20 connect the passageways with adjacent housing parts. As shown, the partition lies between housing 11, 12 for the two units, but in a modification it is secured in a common housing for the two units, and in another modification one of the two parts of the partition is constituted by an integral part of the housing for the hydrodynamic unit.
