1428070 White metal alloy: coating with gold A J OSTER & CO 11 Nov 1974 [3 Dec 1973] 48775/74 Headings C7A, D and F A low melting point white metal alloy suitable for jewellery and other similar uses contains After using 75% of the tin with the Sb and Pb at about 800‹F, the remainder of the tin is added, and the melt cooled to about 475‹F when the Cd is added prior to casting at 500-550‹F into rubber moulds. Immersion gold plating can be carried out on the alloy using a buffered gold chelate solution with a pH of 3 at 140-150‹F.
