Gauging-devices.- The feed-screw of a lathe or other machine tool has the bearing d extended at e to carry a series of stop-washers k separated by spacing-washers m splined to the extension. After adjustment, all the washers are frictionally locked between nuts p, q. A sleeve f attached to the feed-screw or a connected part extends over the washers and is provided with a series of holes, corresponding to the stop-washers, to receive a pin g held in position by a spring clip h. An indicator t is provided to assist in setting the stop. Sets of washers k, m may be permanently connected for use in repetition work.
