Abstract

1422497 Electro-plating apparatus CANNON ELECTRIC (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 5 March 1974 9771/74 Heading C7B Electrical contacts 5 are selectively plated, e.g. with a noble metal, while supported in a constantlevel bath from a device 7 which shields the surfaces not to be plated. The anode 3, e.g. of a noble metal, is supported in a recess in a carrier 2, the part of the carrier facing the contacts having gaps 4 therein whereby plating occurs in the shape of a stripe on the contacts corresponding to the gaps in the carrier. The contacts may be suspended on a transport rail. Holes 9 may be provided for circulating electrolyte through the anode space.
