Abstract

1421253 Liquid level control BESTOBELL MOBREY Ltd 15 July 1974 [21 May 1973 10 Sept 1973] 24099/73 and 42370/73 Heading G1H [Also in Division H 1] In a float operated signalling device for indicating the liquid level in a container, such as a boiler, a float 22 moves a magnetized or soft iron armature 23, attached to a rod 21, in a non- magnetic tube 11, to actuate switch contacts 24 and when it is desired to test the device, a pressure, below that in the container, is applied to a space 20 between cylinders 12, 14, Fig. 1, or a pressure above that in the container to one side of a piston 28, Fig.2, to move the cylinder 14 or the piston 28 downwards to engage a collar 25 on rod 21 to push the float 22 beneath the liquid level and operate the switch contacts 24.
